Several “Especially for Men” sections are written with a humorous tone and include topics such as “Will My Wife Go Nuts Planning This Trip,” “Things That Will Make You The Jerk You Don’t Want To Be” and many others.
This book includes contributions from dozens of expert travelers as well as travel industry employees. It was brought together by a 200,000 mile per year business traveler and father of two who saw that most new parents have been flooded with baby books about pregnancy and raising a child, but had no information on what to expect the first year of baby travel.
The book was written for people who know about Baby 411 and having the Happiest Baby on the Block but now simply want the happiest baby on the plane. It’s for people who are looking for information between Dr. Sears and Dr. Seuss on how to travel safely and with no stress.
Purchasers will receive a bonus chapter titled, “Your Rooms and Childproofing” from one of Baby Travel Tips’ other books. The chapter not only describes key tips on how to baby-proof a room when traveling and improve safety, but also how to dramatically increase chances of getting sleep.

Baby Travel Tips How to Travel with a Baby or Toddler on a Plane eBook Rick Hartwig Reviews
In today's world we travel more often and are faced with the dilemma of what to do with the kids when they accompany us. As the father of three, I found Rick's book to be extremely informative. I certainly wish I had it when my kids were younger.
Whether we travel by car, plane or other public transportation, our kids are now more than ever before part of our travel experiences. Knowing what to do in each case is important - if only for peace of mind. Rick addresses them all. He has obviously put tremendous thought and research into the information detailed in the book.
Rick's book can be used as a reference or guide. Either way, it has resources that are helpful and in many cases extremely important to the safe, fun travel experience of today's family.
This author is obviously speaking from experience when he talks about how to maintain adequate hydration and avoid constipation and tummy aches.
I love this authors approach to his marriage and his children. At the end of the day, he talks about what to take, what to leave behind and how to sneak time together with your significant other during your travels to ensure that the adults have as much time to connect and rejuvenate as they do with the children.
Baby Travel Tips How to Travel with a Baby or Toddler on a plane or in a car on either domestic or international travel is packed with great ideas, tips and even checklists. What is more, is that this handy book EVEN goes so far as to identity and point out "Argument" and "Meltdown" avoiders.
I am telling you, this author is speaking from experience and he does so with consideration and care.

"Baby Travel Tips - How to Travel with a Baby or Toddler on a Plane" by Rick Hartwig is a detailed and comprehensive discussion about everything having to do with traveling with children.
The author not only lists useful equipment for kids of various ages when traveling in cars or planes as well as appropriate toys and other needed baby items, but he discusses potential problems that parents are likely to encounter that most of us wouldn't even think about.
He talks about how partners can work together to foresee problems in advance and mitigate them, even things like building anticipation with your children for the trip. The author obviously has an enormous amount of experience when it comes to taking trips with children, be they babies, toddlers or preschoolers.
The first chapter deals with trip preparation and of course discusses packing for children, as well as things like how to take care of your home while you're gone and caring for pets and plants. In addition, a handy checklist that can be used as a guide is included.
International trips are discussed in detail including all the potential issues that may arise with that kind of travel. A lot of people get sick when traveling, and the author tells how to avoid illness while on the road.
Chapters 2 and three deal with flight issues and with what happens when you arrive, including rental of car, SUV, vans or motor homes.
The book is so comprehensive and touches upon so many subjects that it can make your head spin, but each chapter ends with a comprehensive checklist so it is possible to jump into those and then just read the parts that have to do with the age of child that you have, such as toddler, preschooler or baby.
Certainly this is an excellent guide for any couple that is planning to take a trip, especially a long trip with their children. For any couple embarking on such an adventure for the first time, this book should be required reading.
Great for those who have a trip coming up suddenly or for those who have more time to plan their trip. Colorfully illustrated with checklists and pointers. A real time saver with all the info you need put together in one handy, easy to read guide.
