This series is fun and sexy, there are good plots and storylines, and the characters are well developed. There are humorous incidents, and serious ones, but everything revolves around the relationships that develop in the course of the stories. Each one manages to have its own plot, which is nice. Each one can be a stand alone novel, but it is much easier to read them one after the other as they do build on earlier books insomuch as that the later books incorporate the characters from earlier ones to aid in development of the story in minor ways.
There are a ton of errors in the actual writing - mostly technical things like using the wrong spelling of a word, or grammatical errors that were most likely introduced during rewrites - but although there were a few times that the flow of reading was interrupted the errors had minimal impact on meaning and intent if you could read around them. I think the wrong name was used at one point, and the wrong pronoun sometimes was in there, but again that was likely introduced errors in rewrites.
Overall a decent set of books if you enjoy shifter romance novels, and I would recommend it - remembering it is a series that is adult only content - as long as you can look past the technical errors. I have been reading a lot of shifter romance novels lately and will say that this particular writer is better developed as a writer than many of the others I have been reading.

I have been waiting and hoping that the author would release this series in a box set and she did (I also want to thank her for offering it i the Unlimited program). I purchased as soon as I received the link. I have rounded up all my reviews for this series and here they are

Onyx -
I borrowed this book with Unlimited as I am waiting for the complete set before I purchase this series ( I lied - I went ahead and purchased this book). I love Terry's dragons! Loved Zach, Erin and Bo. I was exceedingly happy to see the return of some of my favorites from another series. The story is well written and sped by way too quickly, as I can never put these down. I was a little disappointed over Erin's condition at the end of the story but other developments make up for it. I cannot wait to read Sapphire's story.

Sapphire -
Books like these make having Unlimited well worth the price. I LOVE Terry Bolryder's dragons! These big bad cousins to the Dragons of New York are fantastic. Each dragon has his own unique abilities and in this series - his own unique lady (that's right - one dragon, one lady). The story can be read as a standalone but reading them in order will give better context. Even though we get Zach and Erin (Onyx dragon and his lady), we don't get any of the Dragons of New York in this book. The author brings these characters to life very well and leaves you anxiously awaiting the next in the series. Next up is Redmond the Ruby Dragon. (I love green and I am hoping for the best with Emerald.)

LOVED IT! First Onyx and Bo and then Luc and Bastien and now Red and Pumpkin. I received this book this afternoon and could not wait until I got off work to read it. Terry's dragons never ever disappoint. The story is fantastic and now I am left dreading the wait until Diamond comes out. I love the tie in with the Dragons of New York. Even though I have Unlimited, I will be purchasing this series as soon as it is finished. So, stop reading reviews and get started on Terry's dragons (even though you don't need to read the Dragons of New York first, it will get you a little extra something when reading the Awakened Dragons, if you do).

Diamond -
I had 4 books lined up and was in the middle of another when I received a copy of this book and I immediately downloaded it and started reading. All I can say is that I can't get enough of Terry's dragons. Even though Alistair is a self centered, hedonistic, jerk, he has one of the best dragon powers (so far) and I could not wait to see his downfall. A new kitty and a new dragon and an extremely entertaining story (that I once again could not put down). I have just one word that would make me completely happy - AEGIS! Read this series and also checkout Terry's Dragons of New York (Double Dragons box set).

Amethyst-
Another fantastic Awakened Dragon. As soon as I received this book, I took a long lunch (1.5 hours) to read it. I cannot say enough good things about this series. Each story builds on the last and drags you deeper into this shifter world. I hate giving spoilers or repeating the synopsis, so I will just say - Each new dragon brings new powers and new kitties (this story even brings a couple of extra new dragons into the mix). The plot is thickening with the oracle and the identity of the dark oracle. My heart went out to Dom as soon as I discovered what kind of powers he has and I am glad he gets his mate and some peace. I LOVED the ending and I only have one word to say for readers of this series – AEGIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait for the next book; it is going to be epic.

Emerald-
I knew I was going to LOVE Aegis!!! I have been waiting for 5 books to get his story. Terry Bolryder did not disappoint and did justice to this complicated dragon. I have loved this series and this was a fantastic conclusion. Stop reading reviews and grab this series (Awakened Dragons) and also grab Terry's Dragons of New York (Double Dragons) and A Dragon's Heart (included in the Tiger Protectors set).
I am really glad this author offers her books on Unlimited (which I have) and I will be purchasing this series as soon as it is offered in a set (hint, hint). The author gifted me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Each story tells the tale of a dragon put in cryo & now awakened to help save humanity. Each is about 175 pages; a different gem stone (diamond, onyx; ruby; etc); eac w/different problems & powers; each story has about 2 mega hot scenes w/a HEA. Some of dragons are sexual; one is arrogant; one ridden w/guilt; one non- trusting; etc. but while not typically friends, know & work together and all but one mates w/a human.

There is a recurring "cat" theme which was funny in some but missed the mark in others. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE, & read all the books one after another. I truly enjoyed the first 2 but found I'd over-dosed by the 6th. Like eating a gallon of ice cream in one sitting Read 1-2; read another book & then come back for a few more.
