I had no idea the exquisite pleasure I will derive from this series, but Braith and Aria pulled me in and held me captive for the entirety of these four books. This is a story of love that is unexpected, a taboo, but it germinated and bloomed for all to see. There were many trials and tribulations on the path to this true love, Braith and his love prevailed though.

In fact I think I want more of this couple. I will read Jack's story though, and maybe William, Max and Daniel one day. This was an awesome read for me. Love it.

I enjoyed this book set very much. it's different then other vampire books I have read in the pass. it will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I couldn't help but fall in love with the characters. just when I thought I knew what was going to happen it changed on me.
This series will hold you "Captive" from one book into the next. (As a matter of fact I have pre-ordered the 6th book) This is very much a paranormal series of vampires. Captive Series is about the lives of both vampire and human and the struggle to survive but also coexist in the same towns. Add in war, blood slaves, death, rebels, love, revenge and abuse and you have a story line that will keep you wondering exactly what will happen next.

Note Just a heads up to those who have trigger points This series has abuse, revenge, dungeons, and abduction so if these are triggers for you then it would not be a good series for you. It is definitely worth your time if you can handle those things. There are some HEA points and each book takes over where the one before ends.
I loved, loved, loved this bundle. I became engrossed in it and read all five books back to back.

I have been reading a lot of werewolves novels for a while now but this set of novels has brought me back to the world of the vampires. I would love to climb into this author's mind and find out how she came up with this new world of vampire. This set is packed to the brim with action,passion,family and excitement galore. Please do yourself a HUGE favor and buy this set of novels. I promise that you will lose sleep but it will be 100 Percent worth it. If you are interested in this series, I highly recommend you get this boxed set of the first five books. The first three books leave the reader needing the next book a.s.a.p. The first three books are some of the most exciting books I have ever read. The story of Arianna, the daughter of the rebel leader, and Braith, the eldest son of the Vampire king, is wonderfully told in rich detail. Both the main characters and the secondary characters are fully developed. I loved Arianna and Braithwaite both separately and together.
As to be expected in a vampire story, there is violence, but it added to the nature of the world the story inhabits. The writer makes it easy to accept this imaginary world, however, I picked up some inconsistencies such as zippers in a world that no longer has any tecnology or hot showers where there is no electricity. However, these are minor irritants in an otherwise enthralling and erotic story.
I truly think the characters are what make this story of love in a sometimes violent world so special.

OMG this is the BEST BEST vampire series on the planet! If you love your vamps that are more human, sexy, hot and lovable, this is your series. Braith is the main vamp hunk. He has his faults but you will want to follow him anywhere. Aria is a blood slave ( that is all I am saying, get the books ) and a wonderful, convoluted, yet satisfying love story begins with the first book. There are so many characters that are written well, you get to know and love, or hate, them thanks to the author. Grab this bundle and fall in love with Erica Stevens work. Then buy her other books.
